Mumbai

March 15th
Flew to Mumbai. Slept in a wonderful hotel called The Chateau Winsor.

March 16th
Breakfast :)
Mumbai in the morning...

ISA went on a half day tour. Our first stop: A flower market :)

A fish market!

The largest open air laundry-mat!
Thieves' Market aka Find-Anything-You-Could-Ever-Think-Of-In-Your-Life-Market. Next was a meat market, produce market, and incense market... After this we went to eat at the famous Leopold's Cafe and I had some WONDERFUL cheesecake.
Kelly taking pictures of some boys at the beach- they loved seeing the photos!
We watched the sun set on the beach, then went to Mocha to eat. Wow, did we eat a lot.
 March 17th

Oh how we love museums haha. This is the Prince of Wales Museum. Afterwards we went to the National Museum of Modern Art, which, to me, was absolutely fabulous :)
We went to another cafe and were suddenly approached by by an Australian woman asking us to be BOLLYWOOD EXTRAS! We all agreed we had to do this so Rahul switched some plans around so we could go. We left at about 5 pm, rode a hot 3 hour bus ride with 70+ other people.
Everyone was ready to go, we expected to be filming until 6 AM. After feeding us a snack and dinner, they told us that the actor wasn't feeling well, so the whole shoot was off. So they took us back to Cabala (where we all were staying). We arrived home around 11 pm.
March 18th
However, the night was FAR from a fail. We made new friends and hung out until 7 AM! (Photo taken from: http://runtjorden.blogg.se/) Megan, Adam (from England), Jamie, Amber, Daniel (from Sweden), Marcus (from Sweden), me, Kelly, Martin (from Sweden). I would have to say it was my favorite night in India (so far)!

The next day, as one might imagine, we were exhausted. This picture of Jamie is how everyone was whenever we were not standing up.

We then went on a 'tour' of the Dharavi Slum. Dharavi is the third largest slum in the world (roughly). As many of you may know, I have depicted this slum in some art work I've done. I have done a lot of research and spent countless hours thinking about this place. I'm still trying to process exactly what I saw there.
We left that afternoon. All in all, Mumbai is fantastic. It is very touristy, but is a beautiful city.
